It Is Time to Update.

Our latest version of Abra2BST version 1.5.1 is available to all customers with a current support agreement. This version is compatible with both Abra versions 7.8x and 9.0x. It has several new features and corrects some defects in our earlier versions.  An update notice will be sent to all current customers in Mid-March 2011.

This spring Sage Abra will stop supporting version 7.7x of Abra Payroll. Support for Abra version 7.8x will end with Q4 2011.

If you are running Sage Abra 7.7x you will need update to Sage Abra version 7.8 or 9.0.  Support for 7.7x ended in December 2010.

If you are still running ARLink from IDEAL Consulting, this version is not compatible with Abra version 9. We highly recommend that before updating to Sage Abra version 9.0x that you set up a test environment and run parallel payrolls to verify that version 9 is installed and working properly.  Abra version 9 has changed how and where data is stored, and it is easier to iron out the differences when it is not during your actual payroll run.

Here are links to two sites with suggestions for upgrading and what other users have experienced. The first one is Alliance For Workforce Management: Sage Abra HRMS Users, which requires an account with LinkedIn. The second link is to the Dresser & Associates Blog Site http://www.dresserassociates.com/blog/. Both sites will give you valuable insights for upgrading to Sage Abra version 9.

Finally, the Abra2BST version history describes the new features in the program.  To review the complete version history go to: http://www.caaspreconsulting.com/caaspre/content/Abra2BST.aspx
