Coming back to Tampa from Microsoft’s Convergence 2011 in Atlanta last week, I got to meet many people from different industries. AuraPortal had an exhibit booth in Expo Hall (If you haven’t been through Expo Hall at a Microsoft conference, you are in for a treat).
Most everyone we spoke to had very similar issues dealing with inventory management, document management, integration or just plain workflow. Microsoft has some excellent tools for accounting, ERP and CRM, however, integration with other, non-Microsoft systems were an issue. Yes, you can accomplish most of what you want to do with a savvy analyst and a developer; but it takes time, money and coding.
